Mike Thomas Preservation are proven qualified specialists in all remedial repairs to buildings and are based in the Amman Valley that cover the South Wales from Bridgend and as far west as Haverfordwest.
Mike Thomas Preservation is a well-established preservation company who pride ourselves on our commitment to provide a professional and speedy service at all times, whilst maintaining the highest quality of work, and our aim is to meet and exceed the expectations of every customer.
We are Property Care Association members – our registration number is 5396.
The Company is a family business and the owner Mike Thomas CSRT, certified surveyor in remedial treatments, is the surveyor who is in charge of the day to day running of the Company. He started his trade in the preservation industry over 18 years ago and is now a proven leading specialist in his field, and has been in the Building Industry since 1986.
Mr J Gill CSRT is also a surveyor who has been in the industry some 40 years and has a wealth of experience and adheres to BRE Digest 245.
Mike Thomas Preservation have fully qualified technicians trained and examined by the Property Care Association.
We are full members of the Property Care Association, which is the only trade body for damp proofing, wood preservation, structural waterproofing, flood restoration and structural maintenance.
Noted for its training and technical expertise the Property Care Association incorporates the British Wood Preserving and Damp Proofing Association, which has been in formation for over 75 years.
Full members of Trustmark www.trustmark.org.uk – Trustmark is the scheme supported by the Government, consumer groups and building industry to help members of the public find reputable firms to do repair, maintenance and improvement work inside and outside a home. In order to support this important government initiative, the PCA become one of the founder scheme operators.
Mike Thomas Preservation look after everything from carrying out the Pre-purchase damp and timber survey, to carrying out the damp proofing and specialist re plastering and timber spraying, also any remedial building works that may be required.
We work for many local estate agents, home owners, housing associations and local building contractors.
We carry out specialist reports for mortgage companies i.e Damp, Timber, Dry Rot & wall ties.
We are also certified to carry out ventilation inspections.
There is a charge for specialist surveys. The cost is Dependant on the area.
